Art, technology and the natural world come together for three days of extraordinary creative experiences across Brighton.
Dreamy Place returns this October with a city-wide programme of art, creative technology and moving image, transforming galleries, streets and public spaces into places of discovery, curiosity and imagination.
This year’s festival explores nature and our changing relationship with the natural world, bringing together artists who collaborate with scientists, ecologists and environmental professionals to reveal hidden environments, explore ecological change and help us see the world differently.

About the programme
The programme includes outdoor installations, exhibitions, immersive sound experiences, film trails, dance, virtual reality, talks and creative workshops, featuring local, national and international artists.
Highlights include Nova by Studio Vertigo, a dazzling light and sound sculpture transforming the newly pedestrianised Pavilion Square; Natural Frequency, an immersive outdoor sound installation in Jubilee Square curated by Chinabot and Platform Asia; and Bones of Our Land by Tsz Wai Pun and Coşkun Güçlü, exploring the hidden ecological histories of a Hong Kong landscape through film, photography and scientific research.
Other highlights include outdoor film trails with Oska Bright Film Festival, interactive dance and digital experiences at South East Dance, and Talking of Nature…, a programme of conversations bringing artists and environmental practitioners together to explore how art can bring us closer to the natural world.
With events taking place throughout central Brighton, Dreamy Place invites audiences of all ages to discover extraordinary art, experience familiar places in unexpected ways and explore new connections between creativity, technology and nature.
Many events are free to attend, with something for everyone.
