A short piece created by artist Annis Joslin in collaboration with participants from the Wonder Club during a workshop exploring objects that appear in early films made by Brighton and Hove pioneers. Using green-screen techniques, participants playfully worked with a series of objects, testing how they could carry gesture, performance, and narrative. The video reanimates objects and actions drawn from the films, recasting them into a different space and time. Accompanying this visual journey is a soundtrack made from digitally processed ASMR-style recordings that capture the tactile sounds of objects being handled and interacted with.

This work was created as part of Wonder Club, a creative programme of workshops for young people at Hove Museum of Creativity led by artist Chahine Fellahi, exploring early film through experimental approaches to photography, film, and image-making. The programme was part of Days of Wonder, a three-year programme exploring film and media heritage in Brighton, curated and produced by videoclub and Corridor Projects in partnership with Brighton & Hove Museums and Screen Archive South East.
